EPISODE 120 : Up The River

Recorded February 11, 2021 while it was blustery and almost freezing in Houston, TX. My good friend, Mark Riddell, once again, hangs out for a couple of episodes. It is always good to have Mark along, as he's one of my closest friends. We "wax on" and "wax off" philosophically about many things including day two of the 2nd impeachment trial of former President T****, the lack of "Taco Tuesdays" in Congress, as well as so much rhetoric regarding the music. Musically, keep an ear out for Harry Nilsson's attempt at writing a title song for the film, "Midnight Cowboy", Joy Division presents darkness in the heart of town, Concrete Blonde pays tribute to Leonard Cohen, Lana Del Rey takes the risk and just says it, The Smiths take the land, Peter Wolf found it Fun For A While, Elvis Costello had a two "first records", The San Francisco sound "flies" low, plus SO much more! Thank you for listening! The evening continues on the next episode!
