Tired of waiting about? Well, fear not. The podcast returns. In fact, one of the reasons it took me some time to get back with you is because one or two podcast episodes became three! Things just kept coming up for me to write and talk about, and I’ve also been listening to all sorts of different records, as per usual. Therefore, I really branched out and took the journey all over the map. I was so excited to have the time to record all three of these episodes at one time. With Easter just days away, too. It’s a holiday weekend. Here we are. SO- this episode is packed with many things: We begin with a set of songs dedicated to the wait. The time ticking…with a tongue-in-cheek nod to the time it’s taken between #’s 147 and #148. A Lubbock legend is hopeful while being woeful, Brian Wilson will have that unique ability to hear brilliance until the day he dies, a Manchester band isn’t concerned with how long you’ve been waiting, Lowell George’s band is willin’ to lay down a classic, Los Lobos pays tribute to the Premiers, the Premiers pay tribute to “Kosher Pickle Harry”, Lee Hazelwood never lost his touch, but moved around some, a Beatles song goes through Jamaica and comes out so great on the other end, the question of Who Killed Bambi repeats itself without a Rotten voice, and much more.I go on about War in current times, and take as many left turns as I can. #149 awaits you.
