Untold Time: The Mike Stinson Tapes

Uncertainty is something that can really affect the way you make decisions and live from day to day. Since this pandemic started, I took it upon myself to "shut out" a pretty good amount. My decision to "whittle" my world down to a smaller version was something I didn't take lightly, at first. I've been seeing only a handful of people on the regular as of late. I'm sure many of us are in the same boat. Something occurred to me at one point. Mike and I had been hanging out, catching up, and staying in touch since it all started. Many are nights that we would grill out, have a few laughs, and try to forget that we are in an upside down world right now. Meanwhile, I thought it would be a lot of fun to record, both as a good hang, and as a document of the time we are living in, Mike and I talking about music, film, gigging, the pandemic, songwriting, family, drums, growing up, and much more. I pitched the idea to Mike, and he loved it. We didn't quite know what to expect in terms of outcome on these episodes. I'd decided to record it very loose and comfortably, while keeping it concise and hopefully, preserving the integrity of what I started here 103 episodes ago. This series of podcasts are as candid and real as it gets for me. They may even sound a bit more like a "typical" podcast than my normal episodes. However, I'm very proud of how the series is turning out. I hope you all enjoy it.

One thing that makes this series so special, as well, is the kind inclusion of brand new demos of Mike's that have never been available. These songs and demos will become, in some fashion, Mike Stinson's next record. I can't thank him enough for letting me share these songs with you all, as I think they are great songs. I want to thank you all for continued support for this podcast and hope that returned visits are a "no brainer".

It has taken me a bit to get these episodes edited and prepared for posting. The content has ONLY been edited for time.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you all at this time. I know we are all dealing with so much in our own little worlds, but keep your collective heads up... and come hang in the living room with me and one of my closest friends.

Thanks again, Mike!
